The AI Era Strategy Workshop
A full day. Your leadership team. A roadmap you can execute.
Most leadership teams are planning for a world that is changing faster than their planning cycle.
Not because they are complacent. Because they are busy, the signals are mixed, and no one has put the full picture in the room clearly enough to act on.
That is what this day does.
The Journey
The session runs as a structured journey. Each stage builds on the previous one. By the end of the day, your team has a clear picture of the environment you are operating in, an honest assessment of your specific exposure, and a draft roadmap you can start executing the following week.
1. Understanding The Environment
What the economic data actually shows. Why this transition is structurally different from previous cycles. The three scenarios for the next decade, and which one the current data points toward. The case for why inaction is a compounding risk, not a neutral choice.
This section is grounded in a Investing Through Disruption framework, built from six months of research on the AI landscape and published in May 2026. The real subject is cognitive automation, the displacement of work that used to need a human mind, of which AI is the current and most visible instance. That distinction matters, because it is what survives the technology changing underneath it.
2. The Cascading Risks
The direct risks bearing on your business right now: labour market bifurcation, consumer spend compression, supplier instability, customer concentration, credit environment, regulatory exposure, management bandwidth. And the second-order risks that compound them.
These are not a list to work through one at a time. They interact. The session makes the case for a structural response, not a tactical one.
3. Your Situational Audit
Your specific exposure. Working through the risk map for this business: where you stand today, which direction you are heading, and the two or three risks that need immediate attention.
Output: a risk map specific to your business
4. Your Defensibility Audit
What your current competitive position is actually worth in this environment. Which of your defensibility mechanisms are dissolving under AI pressure. Where the blank slate competitor (the business designed from scratch today to take your market) beats you. Where you hold.
Output: a defensibility scorecard and a one-page Blank Slate Competitor Brief
5. Your AI era roadmap
From the audit outputs, a specific strategic plan. Not a generic AI strategy. A plan built from what the audits revealed, with a 90-day action sequence, a 12-month roadmap, and clarity on the one or two mechanisms worth compounding.
Output: a draft AI Era Roadmap the team leaves with and can execute.

Who This Is For
Leadership teams of established businesses You are running a viable business in a difficult environment. The pressure feels real but hard to name. This day names it, maps it to your specific situation, and produces a plan.
Private equity firms Portfolio-wide visibility of which businesses are positioned and which are exposed. The session can be run for individual portfolio companies or adapted for a portfolio review format with multiple management teams.
Professional advisers A high-value addition to your client offering. Positions you as the adviser who brought a framework, not the one who reacted after the disruption arrived.
Investor networks and business groups Member benefit for leadership communities, investor groups, and industry associations. Group formats available.
What This Is Not
Not a ChatGPT training session. Not a technology briefing. Not a vendor pitch.
Business strategy for leaders navigating a structural transition, grounded in published research, a framework tested with investors, advisers, and business leaders across the South West and beyond, and twelve years of operational MD experience underneath it.
The participants who get most from it are the ones who walk in with a vague sense that the environment has shifted, and walk out with a specific plan rather than a longer list of things to worry about.
The Foundation
This workshop is built on the Investing Through Disruption framework: the product of five months of research across the full landscape of AI and its economic implications. The three scenarios underpinning the session draw on WEF, IMF, McKinsey, and Goldman Sachs source material, calibrated to UK data and the operating environment of established businesses.
The framework is published. Available on request before you book.
The day runs on a developed set of diagnostic instruments, the situational audit, the defensibility scorecard, the blank-slate competitor brief, used across client engagements rather than improvised for the room. The workshop is the productised entry point to a methodology, not a one-off event.
